  • 300ml pure cream










  • 1/2 cup milk










  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed










  • 1kg golden delight potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced










  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese

  • Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 3cm-deep, 16cm x 26cm (base) slice pan.





  • Combine cream, milk and garlic in a jug. Layer potatoes, overlapping, in prepared pan. Season with salt and pepper. Top with cream mixture. Cover tightly with foil. Place on a baking tray. Bake for 1 hour or until potato is just tender.





  • Increase oven temperature to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Remove foil. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden. Stand for 15 minutes.





  • Using a 7cm-round cutter, cut circles from gratin. While cutter is still inserted in gratin, use a spatula to carefully remove each piece. Place on plate. Repeat with remaining rounds. Serve.
