  Heat a small frying pan over medium heat. Add fennel and sesame seeds, and stir for 2 minutes or until sesame seeds are golden. Process seeds, figs, walnuts, vinegar and zest in a food processor to a coarse paste. Spoon onto a piece of plastic wrap in an 18cm line, roll up tightly, then twist the ends of the plastic wrap to form a 16cm log. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
