  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar










  • 250g punnet strawberries, washed, hulled, thinly sliced










  • 150g goat's cheese, at room temperature










  • 340g baguette, warmed, cut into 1cm-thick slices

  • Place the port and vinegar in a small saucepan over high heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 6 minutes or until mixture is thick and syrupy. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool.





  • Place the strawberries in a small bowl. Pour over the port mixture. Set aside for 10 minutes to macerate.





  • Spread the goat’s cheese over the baguette slices and top with the strawberry mixture. Season with black pepper to taste.
